| Two spacious gîtes in an old railhotel with a spectacular view at the famous Viaduc des Fades. It is situated at the top of this 100 years old bridge in the small community Les Fades, very peacefully between the villages St. Gervais d’Auvergne and Les Ancizes in the heart of the Auvergne. This green region is famous for it's many cheeses, sources, volcans, lakes and traditional kitchen. Each appartement has it's own entrance, livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and three bedrooms. | At only a couple of minutes drive are in Les Ancizes some shops like the bakery, bank and supermarket. Just a bit further begins the incredible volcanic park with no less than some thirty ancient volcanoes, of wich the Puy de Dôme is the most famous. Closer to home spirals the Sioule river through the green countryside and are there lots of possibilities for swimming, kayaking and fishing. |

| There are several nice spots to go swimming. Some very well hidden, others more public with a playgarden, snackbar en beachguard. For watersporting one can rent kayaks, amoungst other sorts of boats.At about a half hour is one of the highest mountains of the region, the Puy de Dôme. Famous of being the mercyless finish of a etappe from the Tour de France. The top can be reached by foot or by car. At the top is a vistitors centre, a small museum. At the foot of this 1465 meters measuring volcan, is a the adverture park Vulcania and the golfparc Golf des Volcans. |
